Description

What is this? Clackamas County Public Health Division is partnering with Washington County Public Health Department to provide funding for Community Based Organizations (CBOs) to lead community-driven and equity-centered work to address the root causes of commercial tobacco use and tobacco-related health disparities.

How much funding is available? Up to 4 organizations serving Clackamas and/or Washington Counties will be awarded $50,000.

How can the funding be used? Organizations must be able to connect proposed activities to the root causes of commercial tobacco use and tobacco-related health disparities.

Who can apply? 501(c)(3) organizations, organizations in partnership with a 501(c)(3), organizations representing culturally diverse communities, and organizations that did not receive funding from or were underfunded by the Oregon Health Authority are encouraged to apply. Organizations do not need to currently work in commercial tobacco prevention to apply.

Please note organizations who receive funding from commercial tobacco companies are ineligible for this funding opportunity.

Timeline? The application for this funding opportunity will open on July 17th, 2023 and close on August 25th, 2023 at 5pm PST. Applicants will be notified by September 21st, 2023. The grant period will begin on January 1st, 2024. Funds must be spent by June 30th, 2025.
