Description

What is this? Clackamas County Public Health Division is partnering with Washington County Public Health Department to provide funding for Community Based Organizations (CBOs) to lead community-driven and equity-centered work in commercial tobacco prevention.

How much funding is available? Up to 12 organizations serving Clackamas and/or Washington Counties will be awarded between $20,000 to $25,000.

How can the funding be used? Organizations must be able to connect proposed activities to either the root causes of commercial tobacco use, commercial tobacco prevention and cessation, or both.

Who can apply? 501c(3) organizations, organizations in partnership with a 501c(3), organizations representing culturally diverse communities, and organizations that did not receive funding from or were underfunded by the Oregon Health Authority are encouraged to apply. Organizations do not need to currently work on commercial tobacco prevention to apply.

Please note organizations who receive funding from commercial tobacco companies are ineligible for this funding opportunity.

Timeline? The application for this funding opportunity will open on October 14th, 2022 and close on November 10th, 2022 at 5pm. Applicants will be notified by December 15th, 2022. The grant period will begin on January 1st, 2023. Funds must be spent by June 30th, 2023.
